Judith Ramage is a senior golfer from Maryland.

When did you first start playing golf?

I started playing about twenty years before I retired, so I've been playing for about twenty-five years now.

What do you love most about golf?

Everything except the frustration. I love being out. I've been taking lessons, and I love the camaraderie and the friendships. Golfers are nice people.

What is one lesson that golf has taught you that you carried off the course as well?

Being competitive. I'm already competitive, but just with myself.

What is your favorite golf memory?

A hole in one, twice! I had one at Kings in Williamsburg and one at Montgomery Village, a club that's not there anymore.

What's your favorite golf course you've played at?

Congressional Country Club in Maryland.

And have you ever faced any discrimination in the sport because of your gender?

No. I'm not in those kinds of atmospheres.

If you could give one piece of advice for the next generation of female golfers, what would it be?

Just know what you're getting into, how competitive you have to be, and how little you get paid compared to men.
