How did you first get into golf, and what made you fall in love with the game?
I first got into golf over 24 years ago. However, I haven’t golfed in 20 years. That was a whole “lifetime ago”.
Now in this “lifetime”, my husband has recently picked up golf, so for us to spend more time together, he found She’s My Golf Pro.
I got signed up for stage one of Naomi’s all female clinic, and that’s been the beginning since summer 2026.
If you could have one conversation with your younger self at the beginning of your golf journey, what would you tell her?
I’m still in the very early stages of my new golf journey, but I would go back and tell myself to just breathe -- I’m gonna be fine. My first day at the clinic I was very nervous. It’s like starting class for the first time. You don’t know anybody. But after the clinic was over, I left with a new group of friends.
Who has had the biggest impact on your golf journey and why?
With my golf journey being so new, I would have to say that Naomi who’s the founder of She’s My Golf Pro has been great. I can’t thank her enough for helping me get to this point so far, and I look forward to continuing my journey with her.
When you first started playing golf, what did you imagine your journey would look like? How has the reality been different from—or similar to—what you expected?
I didn’t expect it to progress as fast as it has. I took a clinic in July and the first week of August, and I was going to take the next clinic in the spring. However, I have signed up for a stage two clinic starting in one week.
What is your favorite memory from your golf journey?
One moment in my golf journey that has stayed with me is meeting Arnold Palmer at Concord, MA during a Seniors PGA tournament. I was able to get an autograph on a hat. That was 20+ years ago.
What is one lesson golf has taught you that influenced your life beyond the course?
Golf reminds me that it’s OK not to be perfect. Even the pros have bad days. Just take a step back and breathe.

What are some mental qualities/mindsets that have helped you achieve success in this sport? Do you have a certain pre-shot routine, self-talk, etc.?
When I go up to the tee, I try to get into a quick meditation to clear my head. If there’s too much clutter and chatter going on, I can’t fully relax into my stance.
Also, I stretch before the range or starting on the course. I tried to do nine holes one day without stretching. I got through one hole and had to stretch on hole two.
Have you faced any challenges or barriers that you feel are unique to women in golf? If so, how have you navigated them?
I have not been in golf long enough to face any challenges myself.
What would you say to a girl who feels intimidated or doesn't think she belongs in golf?
If she is interested in golf and if it is appropriate, I would ask if she wanted to go to the range and hit some balls. This would give her an opportunity to go with another female golfer and talk about the game or potentially see other female golfers at the range and just get a feel for it.
I would encourage her to go for it if she wants to play golf. She can do whatever she wants to do and does not have to be intimidated. I would let her know she has support, introduce her to some other female golfers, and let her know that there are female only clinics which would show her that she does belong in the sport and let her know she’s not alone.
If you could leave one message for the next generation of female golfers, what would it be?
For the next generation of female golfers, I’m hoping that the intimidation factor and the not-feeling-like-they-belong factor is going to be gone. Also, that they’re just supportive and kind and lift each other up. Because women need to lift each other up and not tear each other down.
